Key Steps in a Trenchless Pipe Installation
The traditional way to fix damaged or blocked drains is to dig them up and replace the damaged sections of pipe. But the Relining Company offer a far quicker, cleaner and effective option: trenchless pipe relining. Our “No Dig” drain relining system saves you the cost of digging up your property, driveway or garden. There’s also no need for the cost and hassle of restoring it to its original condition. Below is an outline of how our Sydney pipe relining service works.
Sydney Pipe Relining
Drain Access: The key to our Sydney drain relining service being a success is to ensure that we have good access to the drain for a smooth trenchless pipe repair installation. If access is not available, we can create an access point with our keyhole technology.
Assess The Damage: Firstly, we put a CCTV camera down the drain to assess the damage and see if it’s suitable for relining. This allows us to actually see the condition of your drain before any work is done. You receive video footage of the pipe before and after pipe relining.
Prepare A Quote: If trenchless pipe repair is required for your property, we’ll provide a written quote to repair the damaged pipes. We offer pipe patching for smaller leaks or cracks in pipes that don’t need complete relining.
Jet Blasting: To ensure that the drain is cleaned and prepared for relining, we use a jet blast high-pressure
water hose or root removal tool before we begin relining.
This will ensure that the resin liner has good contact with the old pipe.
Trenchless Technology: Next, a seamless, flexible textile liner is cut to length and soaked
in environmentally safe resin. This is inserted into the drain using compressed air and the inside of the pipe is completely lined. Our state of the art pipe relining can handle multiple bends of up to 90° and two changes in pipe diameter without a problem.
Cure The Resin: To help the resin cure more quickly, we pump hot water through the liner. Most jobs can be completed in less than
one day. The result is a completely new pipe inside the old one. This ‘pipe within a pipe’ is 100% watertight, stronger than PVC pipe, and has an increased flow rate compared to most existing pipes. Relined pipes have a life expectancy of 50 years and our installation work is fully guaranteed.
Camera Inspection: After the liner has hardened, we re-insert our robotic camera inside the pipeline and inspect our work to ensure that it has repaired the broken sections.
