At The Relining Company, our expert team fixes leaking pool pipes from the inside using a specialised spray-coating system that seals cracks, holes, and faulty joints without digging. It’s a permanent repair, completed in a day, at a fraction of the cost of pipe replacement.
Pool pipes are buried under concrete, tiles, and landscaping, so traditional repairs usually require major excavation and significant damage to your pool surrounds. Our method avoids all of that.
With more pool pipe repairs completed than any other relining company in Sydney, we have both the equipment and the experience to get it done right. Get your pool back up and running without the mess, the stress or the massive repair bill.
Our spray coating system is a compact, mobile unit that can be set up quickly and moved into tight spaces around the pool area. It uses compressed air and a mechanical press to push epoxy resin through a rotating spray nozzle inside the pipe, coating the internal walls in multiple layers.
It handles pipe sizes from 32mm up to 225mm in diameter and can work around multiple tight bends in a single run. The epoxy is rated to withstand pressure, pool chemicals and temperature fluctuations, and comes with a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty.
Replacing pool pipes is rarely practical. The pipes are either encased in the pool’s concrete shell or buried under tiles and landscaping, so digging them out would cause major structural damage and a much bigger bill.
Pool pipe relining gets the job done without any of that. With our solution, we promise you:
| Pool pipe relining | Pool pipe replacement | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical cost | $3,000 - $5,000 | $5,000 - $15,000+ |
| Warranty | 10 year manufacturer warranty | 6 year warranty |
| Life expectancy | 50 years | Depends on materials |
| Time to complete | Usually within a day | Days to weeks |
| Digging required | No | Yes |
| Damage to pool structure | None | Likely |
| Pool downtime | Minimal | Extended |
| Restoration costs | None | Tiles, concrete, landscaping |
Pool plumbing is built differently from the drainage pipes under your house. Pool pipes are pressure pipes, they’re thicker, smaller in diameter and installed with much tighter bends to fit around the pool shell.
Standard pipe relining uses a textile liner that gets pushed or pulled through the pipe. That works well in sewer and stormwater drains where the bends are wide and sweeping, but in pool plumbing, the bends are so tight that conventional relining equipment simply can’t get around them.
That’s why we use a completely different system. Our spray coating equipment was developed in Finland specifically for this type of pipe work. It’s a compact, mobile unit that uses compressed air to spin an epoxy coating onto the inside of the pipe, even around multiple tight bends. Think of it like fairy floss spinning inside the pipe, building up multiple layers of epoxy that seal every crack, hole and faulty joint from within.
Once cured, the coating sets rock hard and is resistant to pressure, chemicals and temperature changes, making it a long-lasting permanent repair. The result is a fully sealed pipe without touching a single tile, without breaking into the pool shell and without digging up your backyard.

Pool pipe leaks don’t just happen in old pools. We see them in brand new builds just as often.
We repair all types of pool pipe leaks, including underground return lines, skimmer and suction lines, main drain failures, equipment pad connections and pool-to-spa lines.
No matter where the leak is, we get in, find it and fix it from inside the pipe.

We're the only company in Sydney offering pool pipe relining, meaning we don't just have the technology to fix it, we have the experience to tackle the hard jobs. Every pool is different. Pipes run in different directions, bends vary from pool to pool, and access can be limited. We've seen it all, and that hands-on experience means we can work through problems on-site and get the job done right the first time. We're also a family-owned business that's been relining pipes across Sydney for over 10 years. We bring the same level of care and quality to every pool pipe repair that we do across all of our relining work.

We insert a very small drain camera into the pipe to get a clear picture of what’s going on. Once we identify the issue, we work out the best course of action and provide a detailed quote for the repair.
No. We don’t need to drain the pool, but we do need to lower the water level below the pipes. They need to be completely dry for us to complete the repair.
That’s not a problem. We offer a pool leak detection service that uses a combination of methods, such as pressure testing and pool diving, to visually inspect for defects or cracks. Leak detection testing starts at around $250 for a camera inspection and can go up to $600 depending on the methods required.
Yes, our equipment is specifically designed to navigate around multiple tight bends, which is one of the main reasons we use the spray coating system for pool pipes.
We can coat pipes ranging from 32mm up to 225mm in diameter, which covers the majority of pool plumbing systems.
Think You Have A Pool Pipe Leak?
Give us a call, and we’ll talk you through what you’re experiencing. From there, we’ll organise a time to come out and inspect the pipes on site using a small CCTV camera. This lets us see exactly where the issue is, how bad it is, and what’s causing it.
Once we’ve identified the problem, we’ll walk you through how we can fix it and provide a detailed quote on the spot. If you’ve already had a leak detection company out, even better. Just let us know what they found, and we can hit the ground running.
