What is Brawoliner?

Pipe relining is a convenient and cost-effective solution for repairing old or damaged pipes. With pipe rehabilitation solutions differing markedly in quality and lifespan, how do you know which brand is best?

Trusted to protect iconic landmarks around the world as well as Australian homes, Brawoliner is at the top of the field with its cutting-edge technology guaranteeing superior strength, flexibility and long-term reliability.

Here’s some insight into how the Brawoliner system works and what makes it the best-performing system for your pipe problems.

How Brawoliner Works

Brawo Systems’ Brawoliner is a seamless textile liner used to rehabilitate ageing or damaged pipes without excavation. Using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology, the liner is impregnated with epoxy resin and inverted or pulled into the existing pipe. Once in place, the resin is cured, typically with hot water, steam, or UV light to create a new, structurally sound pipe within the old one.

Brawoliner is made with a special loop construction which makes it extremely flexible and suitable for rehabilitating vertical pipes, branch line connections and multiple bends of up to 90°. It also suits different pipe diameters, so it can be used in most parts of a drain system (including lateral pipes that connect homes to main sewer lines), and it can be used on all common pipe materials such as PVC, cast iron and clay.

The entire pipe relining process usually takes a matter of hours and starts with a CCTV inspection to check the condition of the pipes. Sometimes methods like hydro-jetting will be used before relining to clear obstructions.

Benefits of Brawoliner Over Traditional Pipe Replacement

Pipe relining is a fast, cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to full pipe replacement. Here are some other advantages of using Brawoliner over traditional plumbing solutions.

It’s mess-free

While conventional plumbing methods require ageing or broken pipes to be dug up and replaced, trenchless pipe relining makes it easy to rehabilitate underground infrastructure without removing buried pipes. This means your home doesn’t have to become a construction site due to defective pipes.

It’s affordable

Before trenchless pipe relining, physical removal was the only option to replace an old pipe. This can be extremely costly, especially if the pipe is located under a swimming pool or the foundation of your home. Pipe relining is a cost-effective solution because it doesn’t require any digging, so you can preserve your landscaping and structures.

It’s a long-term solution

Brawoliner has a working life of over 50 years, making it an excellent solution for broken pipes and also ageing systems because it eliminates the need for frequent repairs. As it’s resistant to corrosion, abrasion, chemicals and root intrusion, you can be assured of its durability.

It’s suitable for bends and diameter changes

Brawoliner systems are extremely flexible. This makes them the ideal solution for pipes with dimension changes, multiple bends or bends of up to 90°.

It’s pioneering technology

Brawoliner has pioneered much of the technology that’s used in pipe relining technology. By developing the first branch pipe liner on the market, Brawoliner has solved this complex repair problem for good. Brawoliner offers German engineering of the highest quality while still meeting stringent Australian standards.

Where Brawoliner is Used

Brawoliner products are used in a wide range of settings, from homes and businesses to industrial sites and government buildings.

Brawoliner has even been used to restore old pipe systems in iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Buckingham Palace, protecting and preserving the historically significant structures for another half a century.

Brawoliner vs Other Pipe Relining Solutions

Why brawoliner is better than other liners

Brawoliner has a global reputation for being superior to other pipe relining products due to its innovative, durable design. Here are the main reasons you should choose Brawoliner over other pipe liners.

  • With a seamless textile liner, Brawoliner doesn’t feature any weak spots that can deteriorate like other pipe liners.
  • It has unmatched flexibility that gives it superior adhesion to the old pipe, offering long-term structural integrity.
  • Brawoliner offers outstanding durability, with a working life of over 50 years, during which it can resist chemicals, abrasion, corrosion and tree roots.
  • Brawoliner is a trusted product used around the world on a wide range of projects, from homes and businesses to the world’s most iconic landmarks.
  • Brawoliner outperforms all other pipe relining solutions in product tests, including ranking as number 1 in the Institute for Underground Infrastructure.

Is Brawoliner Right for Your Property?

If your pipes are smelly, constantly blocking or slow to drain, it’s a sure sign they are damaged in some way. They may be cracked, impacted by tree roots or suffering from corrosion, so now is the time to have them inspected and relined before they collapse completely, which in many cases will require costly and inconvenient excavation and pipe replacement.

Even if your pipes currently show no signs of damage, pipe relining is a great way to prevent expensive and messy plumbing repairs before they occur. Brawoliner systems can be used for either the complete renovation of your pipes or in sections of concern and work with many material types, including PVC, clay and cast iron.

Quick Facts About Brawoliner

It’s environmentally friendly

Brawoliner is a trenchless solution, meaning there’s minimal digging and disruption to the surrounding environment. The epoxy resin used is safe once cured, reducing environmental impact compared to traditional pipe replacement.

It can last over 50 years

When installed correctly, Brawoliner has a life expectancy of over 50 years, providing a long-term solution for damaged pipes.

It can handle tree root intrusion

Once cured, the liner forms a seamless, jointless pipe that prevents tree roots from entering and causing future blockages.

The process can be completed in half a day

In most cases, the entire relining process can be completed within a single day, often just a few hours, depending on the pipe’s condition and length.

FAQs

Is sewer relining worth it?

Sewer relining is a smart investment because it not only repairs damaged pipes but also strengthens ageing ones, restoring them to a condition that’s often better than new.

What are the disadvantages of relining?

Pipe relining has very few disadvantages. However, it isn’t always suitable for badly damaged pipes, and because it reduces the diameter of your pipe, it may not be suitable in all areas.

How much should pipe relining cost?

The cost of pipe relining depends on many factors, including the length of repairs required and the extent of damage.
