About the Project:
City Of Sydney Council were upgrading the roads and services below which required one of our contractors to renew the concrete stormwater pipes below the main road. All works were carried out after hours to manage busy traffic on the roads and to not disturb nearby businesses.
The Problem:
When they installed the new FRC 375mm pipes the joining rubber rings were protruding into the main line which would have caused the pipe to leak in the future. There was also some cracks and chips on the edges of the pipe which happened during the installation process.
How We Fixed It:
We attended onsite and installed fiberglass sectional repairs to reline the joints. Prior to this we robotically grinded the protruding rubber rings and high pressure cleaned the drains in preparation for the relining.
