About the Project:
This job was a small terrace home in Paddington that was experiencing sewage overflow from the boundary trap access lid located on the front step.
The Problem:
When we attended to the house to inspect the cause of the blockage, we shone a torch down the lid of the boundary trap and saw that it was not holding a water seal due to large cracks allowing water to drain into the soil. This will cause the sewage waste to not flow away properly, creating a surcharge.
How We Fixed It:
With a commercial wet vac, we removed all the water from the boundary trap and cleaned the pipe in preparation for relining. With the use of our Brawoliner relining method, we relined the pipe from the lid of the boundary trap down to the junction on the Sydney Water Mains connection. Upon completion, we robotically resinated the junction to the house line so the drains could flow as intended.
